I am not a big soda fan. However, I do like a nice rum and cola now and then. For the truly classy way to make a drink mixer, the SodaStream is the way to go. Although it is not recommended by the manufacturer, many people have had success making carbonated booze with a SodaStream. (check out this guys experiment with carbonated alcohol). Now there is a new model in the works called the SodaStream Mix that you may want to wait for. That model is approved for making carbonated booze and is wifi enabled so you can make your libations from the couch.
