4. Mare Hotel Savona, Italian Riviera
The Italian Riviera exudes class. Unfortunately, most places you will find in the area are overpriced and crowded. Not so with the Mare Hotel Savona. This deceptively modest looking hotel has exquisite dining (seriously, try the sushi), wonderful beaches, and a terrific staff, and a bit of funky lighting. Just make sure to get a room facing the water.
